The Jr. NBA is the league’s global youth development program that promotes basketball participation and an active lifestyle among children.  The Jr. NBA is currently conducted in six countries across Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.  Participants are trained in the fundamentals of basketball and learn about the importance of proper nutrition as well as the Jr. NBA’s core values of sportsmanship, teamwork, a positive attitude, and respect (S.T.A.R.).  The Jr. NBA program in Southeast Asia is free and open to boys and girls aged 5-14 and is comprised of clinics, selection camps and a national training camp.  Players between the ages of 10-14 will be eligible for the top selection during the selection camp and national training camp.  The Jr. NBA program has reached more than two million youth, parents and coaches across Southeast Asia as part of its expanded efforts launched in 2014.
